Nasser Ani, MD, FACS, FRCS(C)
Spine Specialist
Why I became an orthopaedic spine surgeon.
"Becoming a doctor was a sort of gathering of influences in my life. For starters, helping others live healthy, productive lives runs in my family. And I’ve always enjoyed helping people overcome their physical challenges. So I chose to become a spine surgeon because it allows me to perform very detailed hand work while at the same time helping people in need."
The importance of seeing a fellowship-trained spine specialist.
"My fellowship training taught me the most advanced yet most proven techniques and procedures for treating spine injuries. It has also prepared me to give the same level of care and treatment you would normally find in a major metropolitan area or university hospital. When you have to work for a living, spine injuries can be devastating for you and your family. That’s why you should entrust your spine to the most qualified and most caring specialist."
Communication: the key to quality care.
"I know there is a direct relationship between patient-doctor communication and successful treatment. That’s why I make sure to spend as much time as you need to understand your condition or injury and to find out what you can expect from your care. I always explain your treatment in terms you can understand. By establishing a solid two-way connection with my patients and working together, we can find better results."
