Pain Management and Rehabilitation Specialist
WHY DID I BECOME A PHYSICIAN
"I believe that medicine is a service profession. The importance of service was instilled in me from a very early age. I witnessed various relatives practice medicine, law, business administration and different trades. As a result, I saw how service could improve a person's quality of life. I had the opportunity to volunteer in many different community organizations, soup kitchens, and youth dance programs. These experiences solidified how one act or intervention can change an individual's life. During my second year of college, I participated in a program at Bellevue Hospital and I was amazed by the physicians' actions. If you improve someone's health, you enable them to improve their quality of life on every level. After this program, I knew that I would become a physician."
I AM PROUD OF MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY PATIENTS
"The ability to listen is fundamental in any relationship. I have learned if you listen to your patients, their diagnosis will be clear to you. My relationship with my patients is based on honesty. I believe in serving my patients and going above and beyond to ensure pain relief, improve their mobility and increase their quality of life."
HOW I HELP MY PATIENTS WITH PAIN MANAGEMENT AND REHABILITATION
"I have a very 'hands on' approach to the care and treatment of my patients. It is important to devote the time and attention needed to thoroughly evaluate each patient and design a personalized plan of care. The optimal treatment plan is essential and may include a tailored physical therapy program, pain medications, and pain management interventional techniques for various acute and chronic pain syndromes. I want my patients to be able to live without pain."
